It started in Panama. A family friend worked with wood — self-taught, stubborn, fairly wild. I helped him during the summer holidays, and it stuck.
Today I am an architect and live in the Black Forest. By day I plan buildings, in the evening the CNC runs in the workshop. The shapes come from the computer, the surface comes from the hand.
The name? I live in the Black Forest, there is wood in the forest, and people have called me weird in every country I have lived in. Who hangs a lamp shaped like an octopus in their living room?
What I like making most are things you can do something with: play, hang up, use. There is enough cheap decoration in the world.
The workshop mark. It is milled into the back of every piece — with the year and my initials.
